We’re excited to announce that the legendary TEC APO250VT F/8.8 is returning to production. This observatory-class instrument has long represented the pinnacle of visual performance in a refractor, and we’re proud to make it available once again.

The APO250 is coming back: The beast returns
The TEC APO250VT F/8.8 is our most powerful refractor to date. With a 250 mm clear aperture and a focal length of 2200 mm, it is designed for serious observing and imaging from permanent stations. While portable for experienced users, we recommend a fixed observatory setup due to its size and weight.
- Optics: Air-spaced triplet with Fluorite (CaFâ‚‚) center element
- Color Correction: Optimized for both visual and imaging use
- Build: Titanium lens cell, aluminum tube with anti-reflective coating and baffling
